Having the right fit when it comes to underwear should be mandatory. Not only will it make you look your best, but it will also make you feel the best. When it comes to sizing for women, the whole process can give you a bit of a headache, but I’m here to give you some methods to make it easier, wink*.
The first item that most women get wrong is the bra. Oh, how divisive that small item of clothing has been through the years…To begin with, you should first measure your band size.
There are several ways you can do so, so it’s for the best to try different methods so you get an accurate measure. First, you can stand in front of a mirror and wrap a measure tape around the chest area. Make sure the band is right underneath your breasts and tight against your back; you should also make sure the measure tape is parallel to the floor to avoid any mistakes. When you are done, look at the number in inches and write it down so you won’t forget it. Now, is your number is even, add 4 to get your band size. If it’s odd, add 5 and that will be your band size.
To figure out your cup size, you want to stand in front of the mirror as you would if you would measure your band size and wrap the tape around the fullest part of your breasts. This means the tape should go straight around from nipple to nipple; make sure the tape is parallel and straight! Now, write that number down and subtract your band size number from this one. The difference between those numbers will give your cup size; here is a little list to help you out:
If the difference it’s 0-1.5 inches, you’re a AA. If you the difference it’s 1.2-1”, the cup will be A. 2” make up a B; 3” a C; 4” a D; 5” difference will likely be a DD or E; 6” a DDD or F. A 7” difference will be a G cup; 8” H and so on. Just keep in mind going up an inch will move the cup by one, so the last possible combination will be a 12 inch difference between band and cup size making up a L cup.
A second method involves measuring right under your breasts and across your ribcage. If it’s an odd number, just round up to the next even number and that is the band size. On the other hand, you can also grab the measure tape and bring it around your back to the front, right under the arms and across the middle of your chest. If your number it’s odd, round up to the next even number and that’s it.
